The critical response has been mixed, but having watched The Tattooist of Auschwitz, I found it harrowing and moving at the same time, and it even has a Melbourne link. Watch it and judge for yourself.
A new reality series, Geordie OGs, has just arrived on Stan with the first two seasons of the show available to stream right now.
The Salisbury Poisonings is a newly added miniseries on the infamous international incident a few years back.
And finally, a new season (season 3) of Hacks has also arrived, with the first two episodes made available for the season premiere.
A good collection of movies has just been added to the Stan library this week. In no particular order, Hidden Figures was a light and fulfilling watch.
Jobs from a couple of years back isn't as good as that other Steve Jobs biopic, but it was still interesting.
Chaos Walking was much-maligned when it first came out, but having seen it twice, I found it interesting enough to have wanted a sequel.
Much less controversial and much more beloved by critics was the original Sin City, which was great. And while White House Down seems like a dumb movie, it really is one and that's the best thing about it.
2020's The Grudge kind of got lost as the pandemic was just beginning when it was first released. That doesn't excuse the fact that it's not a very good remake, but it might be one that you missed during those difficult and confusing early days.
And finally, we have three Chinese movies - Kung Fu Jungle, Little Big Soldier, and legendary Hong Kong director Tsui Hark's slightly insane but ultimately enjoyable The Taking Of Tiger Mountain.
