Stan: What's New For 9 October - 15 October 2023

Moving back home after a scandal, staying sane after a missing wife, and an early Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio collab. These are just some of the highlights this week. Read on to find out more.

Television:

Based on a series of best-selling novels, the entire first season of Sullivan's Crossing comes to Stan in a story about a disgraced neurosurgeon who moves back home to get away from it all.

Season two of Billy The Kid has also arrived, with new episodes arriving weekly.

Movies, Documentaries:

David Fincher's superbly crafted Gone Girl almost feels like two movies in one, and that's all I'll say without trying to spoil things.

I'm ashamed to say I've never heard of This Boy's Life, despite it being the first (?) Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio collaboration, with the latest "Killers of the Flower Moon" coming this week actually.

No Leo in this one, but Once Upon a Time in America is still considered a classic these days.

And finally, the documentary All The Beauty And The Bloodshed follows the life of artist Nan Goldin and her battle against the Sackler family, he pharmaceutical dynasty many believe are the cause of the opioid epidemic.
