Welcome back to our weekly series looking at what's been happening on Australian streaming platform Stan for the past week.

Looking at what's new on TV, the most notable addition is the new series White Famous. Starring comedian Jay Pharoah and Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx, White Famous focuses on a talented, young African-American comedian, Floyd Mooney (Pharoah), as he branches out to new audiences and tries to become 'white famous'. New episodes are streaming every Monday, same day as US.

There are also new seasons of RuPaul's Drag Race: Untucked and The Flash.

There isn't a bad movie in the list of additions this week. What better time to catch up with Deckard and Gaff again in Blade Runner. What we get here is only the theatrical version, and I suggest if you really want to get better acquainted with Blade Runner before you go and catch the sequel at the cinemas, you try and get hold of a copy of The Final Cut. Although to be fair to the theatrical cut (and it's worth watching at least once), it does features a lot more narrative exposition which helps you better understand what's going on (it's flaw is that it has a little bit too much exposition, and also *that* ending).

Teen angst dramady The Edge of Seventeen is much more nuanced than your typical teen film, and stars Hailee Steinfeld, someone who you might normally associate with her music, but actually got her career started in film (and she's superb in this film).

There's also a bunch of foreign films that all come highly recommended.

Director Feng Xiaogang's I Am Not Madame Bovary is unique not only in its presentation (what aspect ratio would that be? 1.33:1 Diameter?), but also gives you an unique look into the Chinese justice system, one that normally doesn't come via a Chinese censor approved film.

Japanese film fans have the Seijun Suzuki anthology to streaming, including Youth Of The Beast, Branded To Kill, Tokyo Drift and Gate Of Flesh.

Three Days in September is also worth a watch.
