The school holidays are back on, and so's Easter, so there's a glut of new content arriving on Stan this week.
There's just so much new TV content that we only have time to talk about some of them, hopefully some of the best. Fans of Louis Theroux have five more documentaries to watch this week, ranging from diverse topics such as transgender kids to Nazis. More excellent BBC drama is also available via The Shadow Line, starring the amazing, and now global super star, Chiwetel Ejiofor. Almost Royal is an interesting experiment, surprisingly closer to Sacha Baron Cohen's tradecraft than anything else - worth checking out.
Always a favourite of mine is the classic British comedy series Keeping Up Appearances, of which 3 more seasons and a Christmas Special has just been added. Keep up with the hilarious antics of the "Bucket" family, and find out what or who's got Hyacinth's panties in a knot (again).
It's not all British goodness though, there are some good Aussie stuff too in Judith Lucy Is All Woman and Sam Simmon's One Night Stan comedy special.
There are some excellent movies too. If interesting history is your thing, then 2016's Race is a must-watch, as African American Jesse Owens takes on the Nazi regime at the Berlin Olympics. I personally liked Mirror Mirror - I can understand why people didn't like it, but the new take on the tired Snow White story does have some interesting elements, with a splash of Bollywood thrown in (wait for it). Both The Duff and Chloe are worth watching if you have nothing else better to do.
For Easter though, look no further than (now reformed?) Mel Gibson's The Passion Of The Christ - be warned, it's not for the faint-hearted.
